Job Posting for Product Analyst at Moldable Business Associates
The Product Analyst determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information and evaluating output requirements. The position requires expert level data analytics ability to manipulate large amounts of data, analyze reports, and tell a story from the data. The position requires subject matter expertise in all our Payments business, planning and analysis functions. This role will include writing improved policies and procedures, working closely with the business teams and is a major contributor to the requirements specification deliverables. In addition, the PA will build strong analytic solutions, information support and insight in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare tasks with clear and complete business requirements, involving business and IT to establish a viable marriage of requirements and technical solution
Ensure that UI descriptions are included with the business requirements
Assist IT in the refinement of technical requirements, minimizing them to the most efficient set of changes that still meets the needs of the business
Source data as required to support the development of requirements and substantiate business cases
Coordinate QA and UAT testing appropriately to ensure trouble free delivery of features and products
Identify project sponsor for major projects
Be familiar with all standardized project processes, and contribute input to the development of new ones
Educate clients and internal team on new features, including creation of documentation
Meet with clients as needed to understand requirements and offer possible solutions. Learn clients’ technical systems, software and current process for print and electronic communications or enrollment materials. Apply technology and product knowledge to address client needs.
Occasionally travel to new and prospective large clients to plan and coordinate project activities
Establish and track to project plans to accomplish project activities
Issue project status alerts to project stakeholders as required
Manage project risk with alternative plans as required. When key milestones are missed, marshal the team to keep the project on track.
Write deployment notes that concisely describe the problem solved in language appropriate for the target audience
Participate in pre-deployment meetings to briefly explain new features to internal users
Write documentation of new or modified features and post it to the wiki for internal users, and when necessary create documentation suitable for passing along to the client
Provide targeted training for more complex features to internal users in advance of deployment, and when necessary train them to in turn train the client
Work with the internal training team to help them incorporate new features in long term training
Provide assistance to internal users on pre and post deploy setup, activation, and use of new features, products, reports and output
Write user/customer friendly problem resolution statements upon request
Coordinate retrospectives at pre-established intervals, and make certain that continuous process improvements thus established are implemented and not glossed over or forgotten
Keep Product Manager informed of activities, alerting of any issues promptly
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Basic data manipulation and understanding skills, including ability to use text editors
Ability to perform SQL database queries a plus
Ability to understand and utilize web based applications for project management and client business to business applications
Previous Customer Service experience preferred
Strategic project management, business transformation and/or project leadership experience a plus
Strong strategic thinker who is able to understand the organizational goals and can use technology, project management, and PMO leadership experience to reach these goals
Experience leading mission-critical programs that involve significant business change and organizational transformation
Experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring process improvement initiatives, project management frameworks and methodologies
Experience with Agile, Scrum and Kanban development methodologies and related tools a plus
Ability to identify and resolve/mitigate issues or risks associated with projects
Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with and persuade a wide range of audiences
Proficiency with computer and applicable software packages, including Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet and E-mail
Exposure to other, non-Microsoft project management tools such as the Altassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence, etc…) a plus
Experience in handling large data sets
