The VP Brands owns overall brand strategy and positioning. For an assigned set of brands, ensures their strategic integrity within total brand portfolio, within the beer category determining their position as defined by our Category Strategy.  Responsible for assigned brands delivery against company's strategic, volumetric and financial goals annually as well as their long-term ability to meet three-year brand equity targets. Responsible for identifying demand spaces to strategically leverage portfolio to successfully compete. Leads and directs external and internal resources through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent and positioning. Responsible for integration into broader organization ensuring integrity of marketing programming from conception through execution. Connects and translates marketing theory and brand strategy to distributor needs, buy-in and effective execution.

 

  • Defines strategic direction for CFOB and MFOB brand portfolio across MillerCoors
  • Determines CFOB and MFOB brand positioning with brand teams and directors
  • Lead the company’s brand portfolio around brand strategy and positioning for CFOB/MFOB
  • Ensures effective integration of brand plans/activities with other Company functional areas
  • Resource allocation
  • Financial planning for assigned brands
  • Attracts, leads, manages, and mentors employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent
  • Collaborates with Sales VP's to ensure the clarity and executability of brand plans for Key Accounts, the Distributor Sales Organization, and distributor network
  • Communicates with key stakeholders including Sales VP’s, Key Accounts, other Marketing VP’s, distributors, retailers
  • Achieve volume, profit, and brand health targets
  • Drive execution across all elements of marketing mix
  • Integration and collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Lead relationship with parent companies aroung Brand and Innovation Council and other international and best practices forums

 

Education and experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 15 years of related work experience
  • Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, ideally in a senior marketing leadershi

Preferences

  • Master’s degree preferred in business or marketing
  • Three-tier distribution system experience is desirable but not require

 

Skills and knowledge

  • Solid experience in brand marketing and brand portfolio management
  • Ability to establish strong business relationships to reach business goals
  • Ability to connect marketing strategy to customer needs and execution
  • Sales experience preferred
