What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Warehouse Lead position at Mom's Meals?
Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead oversees organizing and maintaining order in the warehouse. Also operates forklift to load/unload trucks docked at facility as needed. The Warehouse Lead also maintains inventory throughout warehouse through controlling flow of product in and around facility and responsible for reporting inventory accurately.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
- Prepares and organizes pallets containing boxes of food product and production supplies for order fulfillment. Ensures packing slips are included and correct prior to having product leave the facility
- Handles traffic of trucks coming into the warehouse dock area. Ensures bill of lading are accurate
- Loads/unloads trucks using forklift and hand jack
- Receives trucks for incoming product. Confirms packing slips to product received. Designates proper storage area for incoming product
- Responds to both email and verbal communication requests for product transfers from the other locations
- Scans and tracks all incoming product and location moves into AX inventory program to ensure information showing is accurate
- Logs product received into computer system for verification
- Transfers packing slips to Purchasing and Accounting for proper handling
- Coordinates with corporate office to ensure inventory is accurate and discuss replenishment needs
- Conducts weekly and monthly cycle counts for all products in the facility. Updates / confirms inventory program based on actual cycle count numbers
- Rotates all food product to ensure FIFO process is being met
- Other projects / duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year previous warehouse management experience
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt and implement change in a timely and effective manner
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen.
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to perform repetitive movements
- Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
