Seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processing, respond to inquiries, ensure accuracy in all payroll-related tasks, and assist the Human Resources Manager with Benefits management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with payroll data processing
- Respond promptly to email and voicemail inquiries
- Investigate and correct payroll data errors efficiently
- Perform administrative duties such as auditing timesheets, resolving errors, and filing
- Employee onboarding and termination processes
- Handle state unemployment requests, VOEs, and disability claims
- Collect and distribute HR mail daily
- Assist with various payroll-related mailings
- Assist with Employee Benefits programs
- Support special projects related to payroll
- Provide basic assistance with employee relations
- Manage leaves of absences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data entry Experience
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing
- Familiarity with payroll processing guidelines
- Understanding of Wage & Hour laws, FLSA, and wage payment guidelines
- UKG Pro Experience
- CPP Certification
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher education
- Experience in conflict resolution and customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to act urgently when needed
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Strong organizational, technical, analytical, and mathematical skills
- Proficient in Excel
