Job Description


Qualifications:


  • Completion of high school diploma or any equivalent combination of experience and training including or supplemented by business school courses.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Computer, bookkeeping, and writing skills consistent with job requirements
  • Successful completion of background check

Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment


Essential Job Functions:


The Administrative Assistant will support all functions of the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department of Momence Community Unit School District. Must be able to manage a variety of tasks, adhere to deadlines, effectively communicate with colleagues, teachers, administrators, and parents and community members via phone, email, and in person. Must be self-motivated and able to maintain accurate records and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible and able to prioritize responsibilities associated with organizational and departmental needs. Must have strong computer skills and an ability to learn new programs and skills. Able to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on department operations related to the Director’s role and responsibilities.
  • Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles related to daily operations of the department.
  • Maintain accurate databases
  • Maintain, develop, and execute data reports as requested by the administration.
  • Manage purchasing and record record keeping as directed by administration.
  • Process record keeping related to personnel of the department
  • Assist the director in record keeping related to curriculum materials, grant program, and other areas related to the roles and responsibilities of the Director.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings and schedules as directed by administration.
  • Participate in meetings and workshops in the department, buildings, and district as required/needed.
  • Assist in mailings, notifications, and other communications as directed.
  • Assist in clerical work and databases related to testing, instruction, and MTSS as well as other functions as directed.
  • Liaise with building and district administrative offices as needed.
  • Attend on-going training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Assists in the administration of the summer responsibilities for the department.
  • Adhere to all district policies and state and federal regulations related to school employees
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director.


Terms of Employment:


210 days per school year
