Established by chef and founder David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar, Momofuku has grown to include restaurants in New York City, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles and Momofuku Goods, a line of home cooking products. Momofuku Ko and Ko Bar
Momofuku Ko opened in 2008. Ko is guided by the Japanese kaiseki tradition as well as seasonality, the innovation of our mentors and peers, food memories, and the breadth of cuisine available in the melting pot of New York City. Ko has two Michelin stars, which it has maintained since 2009. In 2015, Ko was awarded three stars by the New York Times.
Ko Bar, which opened in 2018, serves an evolving a la carte menu and an expansive beverage program.
As a representative of Ko, the Reservationist will be warm, hospitable, yet professional and exacting while providing above and beyond service in line with Momofuku standards and values. We are looking for well-presented, organized individuals who want to be part of a team that tests limits.
Compensation Band: $24 - $27 per hour

Responsibilities
- Confirm all calls for reservations, noting and following up on allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Serve as a leader of the Bar Support Team by assigning duties for the shift and ensures that responsibilities are being upheld to Ko standards
- Prepare a summary of total covers, guest information, and special notes for each shift and presents to the full team at each pre-service meeting
- Manage the reservation system and relevant guest communications
- Print and assemble clean and accurate menus for Main Dining Room guests to take away
- Answer FAQs regarding Momofuku Ko and Ko Bar’s policies, procedures, and food and beverage offerings.
- Build relationships with guests to facilitate return visits or private event bookings
- Maintain integrity of service by proactively communicating with managers to address any elevated guest needs
- Strategize table turn times with relevant FOH managers and co-host in order to maximize covers for the shift.
- Adhere to grooming and dress code guidelines
- Assist team mates to anticipate all other FOH needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum1 year as a Reservationist, Lead Host, Office Manager or Maitre D in a upscale to fine dining, high volume restaurant
- Proficiency in Resy or similar reservation system
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflict
- Willing to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the team
- Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Reservationist, Lead Host, Office Manager, or Maitre D’ experience in an upscale to fine dining, high volume restaurant
- Ability to train new Reservationists in all aspects and responsibilities of the role
- A proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and development
Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 6 to 8 hours on average, sitting, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
