What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sushi Chef position at Momoya Soho?
Momoya Soho Japanese Restaurant (opened on March 30 2022) is looking for Sushi / Sushi Sous Chef staff for a new upscale restaurant in Soho Area. Salary offered for Sushi Sous Chef position will be based on experience.
Momoya Soho is a modern new concept upscale Japanese restaurant featuring a full sushi bar, a full Wine/sake/beer bar, and the two main dining rooms with outdoor seating in the heart of the SOHO area (at the corner of Prince St. & Mulberry St).
Qualification/Requirements – Sushi Chef:
- Minimum 3-4 years of Japanese experience for SUSHI CHEFS/KITCHEN CHEFS
- Minimum 2 years of Japanese experience for LINE COOK
- KITCHEN PREP/HELPER - Minimum 1-2 years of Japanese experience
- A passion and excellent knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture
- Fish & Meat prep skills are huge plus
- Comfort in a high-volume/fast-paced environment with good communication skills
