Job Summary
As a RN at Mon Health you will coordinate total patient centered care ensuring optimal service to the communities we serve.
The Operating Room at Mon Health Medical Center consist of 2 working OR rooms. The North OR is located on the 3rd floor and serves as the Main OR. The unit is comprised of 9 OR rooms and 1 Cystoscopy Room. Service Lines include Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General Surgery, Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Urology, Robotics, ENT, Endoscopy, and Plastics. The department is staffed 24 hours Monday-Friday and on call teams are provided for Weekends and Holidays. The staff is comprised of RNs, OR Technicians, CAs, Schedulers, and an Endoscopy Processing Technician.
The South OR is located on the 1st floor. The unit is comprised of 5 working OR Rooms. Services Lines include Orthopedics, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, and Dental. The department operates Monday-Friday 6:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. with call coverage from 3:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. Call Coverage is also provided on Holidays and Weekends from 3:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m. Competitive call pay is provided. The unit is staffed with RNs, OR Techs and Clinical Assistants. RNs are required to have BLS certifications and one year or previous medical/surgical experience.
Education
Incumbent must be a graduate of school of nursing
Experience
Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families.
Certifications/Licensure
Must possess licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in WV. Must possess BLS certification within probationary period. Current ACLS certification preferred. Certification in appropriate specialty is preferred.
