Engineer (Cabinet Draftsman)

Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Engineering Department’s Cabinet Draftsmen are responsible for assisting the Production Team by answering questions and preparing drawings, lists, and instructions for orders.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

• Operate Cabinet Vision software to create presentation drawings, shop drawings, cut lists, and instructions for Production Team.
• Produce cut list reports that identify all parts and machining requirements for each Production Team.
• Prepare files for CNC programming.
• Review and interpret architectural drawings and engineering specifications.
• Integrating and working with the Production Team and customers to alter processes/designs when needed.
• Communicate with Production Team and Dealer Support to answer project questions.
• Dedication to keeping a clean and well stocked working environment.
• Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

CAD Experience. Cabinet Vision experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Remain constantly standing/sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
• Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one workstation to another on an occasional basis.
• Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
  • Occasional movement of objects up to 20 pounds.
• Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasional operation of machinery and/or power tools as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
• Occasional exposure to noisy environments.
• Occasional exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.

JOB LOCATION:

Sullivan, Illinois.

PAY SCALE:

$20.00 to $23.00 an hour. This is based on experience with the potential to increase at 30/90-day performance reviews.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 6:00AM to 4:00PM. (47.5 hours a week).
