Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong background in early childhood education.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement educational programs that align with state regulations and promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with parents to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for children.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate;
- Have a combination of education and experience equivalent to 2 years in the areas of early childhood management or early childhood education, child development, nursing or other related field; or
- shall have received a professional credential from an organization recognized by the department;
- Directors shall meet all training requirements as outlined in Chapter 4 per DCFS
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of state regulations governing childcare facilities.
- Experience in education administration is a plus.
