The Mainland lab at the Monell Chemical Senses Center is seeking a new Research Technician. The laboratory of Dr. Joel Mainland conducts research to understand the role of odorant chemical structure and human genetic variation in olfactory perception. The core responsibilities of this position will include testing human subjects in olfaction experiments, recruiting subjects and scheduling test sessions, preparing odors and other materials for experiments, and organizing and maintaining experimental data.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants will have earned a B.S. in a scientific discipline.
Should be comfortable and courteous in working with human subjects,
Is proactive, and highly organized.
Has previous experience with human subject research is strongly preferred.
Has prior experience with data collection and analysis and data collection software (Qualtrics, RedJade, ePrime, RedCAP, etc.)
Wet lab techniques (preferred.)
