Monogram Kidney Care uses next generation artificial intelligence algorithms to predict necessary and timely care to promote the delay of kidney disease progression and seamless transitions to palliative care, dialysis and/or pre-emptive kidney transplant. We use in-home nurse visits and telemedicine to build meaningful relationships with our patients that drive positive behavior change and optimize our patients’ health outcomes.
Position: Medical Assistant, Telemedicine
Monogram Kidney Care is seeking experienced medical assistants committed to providing excellent patient experiences. The Medical Assistant (M.A.), Telemedicine, will be charged with pre-appointment preparation and facilitation of telemedicine appointments. This individual must be comfortable interfacing with patients via virtual platforms and assisting patients with the setup and use of our telemedicine platform. He or she will support patients and team members in accessing telehealth platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that our patients are met with compassion and competence as they are effectively connected to our telehealth service. This individual is a vital asset to the team who will ensure that our patients are able to receive the appropriate care and level of engagement needed with their providers.
Position Requirements
- The position will be located in the company’s Brentwood, TN office
- Experience in a practice environment that utilized telemedicine for appointments
- Electronic health record (HER) experience; Athena and Salesforce experience preferred
- Medical Assistant certification required
- Outstanding communication skills
- Goal-oriented with a strong attention to detail and follow through
- 2 years of college preferred
Roles and Responsibilities
- Scheduling patient appointments and follow-ups
- Greeting patients on video before visits
- Assessing video and telehealth readiness
- Obtaining necessary consents pre-visit
- Collecting and reviewing information needed to facilitate visit, including medical and lab records
- Verifying health insurance information
- Ensure that all scheduled visits are confirmed and that pre-appointment tasks are completed
- Proactively identify, track, and troubleshoot issues that may jeopardize a scheduled appointment from being completed
- Other duties as assigned
