TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 Month Position, Full Time
SALARY RANGE: $52,250 - $83,791 per school year
- Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
Instructional Specialist- Learning Systems and Technology Integration
DUTIES:
1. Develop, communicate, and monitor the process to request online instructional resources, systems and subscriptions to ensure Ed Law 2d compliance.
2. Support teacher access to instructional resources and effective usage/professional learning to support classroom instruction.
3. Communicate with vendors and facilitate purchasing and renewing online subscriptions.
4. Manage online accounts, including class rosters, logins and passwords.
5. Ongoing monitoring of analytics and data to measure usage and effectiveness of instructional technology.
6. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to improve the quality of instruction for all students through standards-based practices.
7. Analyze and use formative and summative assessment data to make informed instructional decisions.
Instructional Specialist- Personalized Learning and Instructional Technology Specialist
DUTIES:
1. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to improve the quality of educational programs for all students through the integration of instructional technologies and standards-based practices.
2. Promote classroom instruction that integrates technology with sound pedagogy and personalized learning.
3. Collaborate with other instructional specialists and program level leaders to analyze data and to develop/refine curriculum that includes the integration of technology.
4. Plan and facilitate professional learning opportunities for instructional staff to enhance instructional and technology-based learning initiatives (including AI, SchoolTool, Microsoft Office 365, Seesaw, iMovie, Lumio/Smartboard software, and interactive boards)
5. Collaborate with teachers and provide growth producing feedback with the goal of increasing student achievement through a student-centered coaching model.
6. Knowledgeable of NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards, ISTE Standards, 21st Century Learning Skills and frameworks for technology integration (TPAC, SAMR).
7. Continue to acquire professional knowledge and remain current with emerging instructional technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS for Both:
1. NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities Initial or Professional, or Special Education Permanent preferred.
2. Experience coaching and providing professional learning for adults.
3. Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards.
4. Passion for learning and implementing new technologies.
5. Enthusiasm for exploring data.
6. Proven leadership and team facilitation skills.
7. Preferred experience with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Excel, SchoolTool, Seesaw, IXL, iReady, ClassLink Preferred.
