Monroe Staffing is hiring an experienced Director of Maintenance. This is a direct hire opportunity.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the operational management and effective daily leadership of the maintenance team with the objectives of safely, efficiently, and effectively operating machinery and systems cost-effectively. This role must ensure the highest level of professionalism while meeting the operational and planning requirements of the facility. Ensure that end-to-end project planning, risk identification, issues identification/escalation, and change management are managed appropriately utilizing best practice project management standards.
Primary responsibilities include:
Oversee the operational aspects of the plant in a manner that protects, maintains, and improves the value of the owner’s assets.
Responsible for Following Lock-out/Tag-out Procedures and All safety programs and Procedures.
Effectively manage assigned staff to include activities such as assigning work and providing supervision and direction as needed.
Implement preventive, ongoing, and anticipated maintenance/repair programs
Select contracted services by developing scopes of work, requesting bids, monitoring performance per scopes of work, and contractual agreements
Manage multiple employees through effective communication, supervision, training, and scheduling to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and integrity of all areas of buildings (interior and exterior – including streetscape), systems, and equipment.
Oversees the condition and preventive maintenance programs of key asset systems, such as HVAC and duct systems, fire protection/sprinkler systems, plumbing—sewer mains/clean out drains/structural building plumbing/sump pumps, and electrical equipment.
Ensure the plant follows the required preventive and ongoing maintenance for its spaces (HVAC, exhaust/duct/hood cleaning, window cleaning, etc.).
Develop and implement proactive strategies to resolve plant operations and compliance-related challenges.
Perform regular site inspections to assess physical Plant condition, compliance, and overall administration
Responsibility for completion of annual building systems inspection/testing, maintenance (ITM) requirements
Reinforce monthly staffing schedules, ensuring 24/7 emergency coverage. Manage ongoing staff development efforts and skill-building/learning initiatives
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of related maintenance operations experience with three years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of risk management, OSHA, and MSDS
Skilled in performing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment repairs
