Position Summary:
The Director of Planning Systems will have functional responsibility for the supply chain planning capability at
Monster for the North America region. The role will be the primary interface between the business and IT/SAP
teams, and will lead the effort to architect, design, configure, and implement system solutions & capabilities to meet
business requirements.
In addition, the role will lead a team of analysts to manage day-to-day maintenance of the planning systems, monitor
master data creation projects and tasks, and otherwise ensure that all supply chain elements are up to date, and data
integrity is intact. This team will intake shipment forecast data and integrate to SAP APO DP & SNP to drive the
planning function, and duties will include building our internal planning capability through user training, testing, and
representing North America in system (SAP ECC & APO) improvement initiatives and working with colleagues in other
regions to build out the planning capability for global alignment.
The role will work closely with Business Intelligence colleagues to develop and enhance the reporting and analytics
capability and support the S&OP process. The successful candidate will lead the business development initiatives to
configure APO in order to meet the needs of the business and ensure thorough documentation for E2E processes,
standard operating procedures, data governance and leveraging the Winshuttle Tool Set.
Director of Planning Systems reports to the VP Production Planning.
Essential Job Functions:
- Owns the planning systems roadmap to enable business growth, efficiency, and optimization.
- Configures SAP APO to meet the needs of the business.
- Communicates all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements and scope changes.
- Provides instructions to planning team and coaches them in the use of SAP APO Application, subject matter
expert point of escalation to meet business requirements.
- Strong influencing skills to ensure that processes are adhered to enforcing best practices and leading training
program to ensure all planners are comfortable to fully use the system functionalities.
- Drive incremental and breakthrough improvements in E2E planning processes, developing and driving continuous
improvement in KPIs through leverage of the system
- Supports development of APO Roadmap influencing Senior Ops and Global IT leaders on changes required, as
well as migration to other software systems in the future.
- Planning and monitoring the deliverables of project teams.
- Training and mentoring of planning team.
- Contribute to roll out of new technologies to ensure they are fully leveraged both within the Production Planning
team and with relevant internal and external stakeholders of Monster.
- Leads change management of current business processes and identify and present recommendations to
management.
- Leads safety stock system and process changes to drive optimization of inventory of both Finished Goods and
Raw Materials balancing applying inventory postponement techniques with ensuring strong service.
- Leads development and use of single version of the truth demand, volume report, dollar report.
- Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 15 years’ experience in supply chain management and related software
systems implementation and maintenance.
- SAP APO (DP & SNP) experience strongly preferred.

Pay Range: $122,050 - $154,500
