What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Press Technician position at Monster Energy?
Position Summary:
This is an entry level position that will support the Technical Services Department with an emphasis on proofing can graphics files for color and copy accuracy to the original MEC files. This position’s main responsibility will be reviewing global can artwork through the entire Pre-Press process with additional responsibilities as assigned, which could include logging artwork uploads into Pre-Press tracking platforms, or any other Pre-Press related duties as assigned.
The position will work closely with various departments within the Operations Department as well as New Product Development, MEC and Innovations Graphics, Project, and Brand Managers within the company. They will also communicate with our can pre-press supplier, VN Graphics, on questions about can artwork files.
Essential Job Functions:
- Evaluate all can graphic pre-press files to ensure accuracy to the MEC uploads.
- Review and approve artwork files at each stage of the pre-press process to ensure they match the MEC uploaded files
- Use PDF (Photoshop) Compare software to identify differences between the MEC upload and the processed art file.
- Update the can Digital Asset Management portal and prepress tracker at each step of the artwork review process.
- Supports the Pre-Press Specialist in Can Lab duties as needed which include artwork retention (archiving) and can cutting / flattening production can sample
- Other related duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the position will have the following job-related experiences and skills:
- College degree or comparable work experience in graphics arts.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Is not color blind / deficient.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator software’s)
- Detailed oriented

PAY RANGE: $20 - $24 per hour
