Position Summary:
Monster Transmission & Performance is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join our Accounting Department. As an AP Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial obligations. You will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and maintaining organized records of all transactions. Your meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting department and Monster Transmission.
Your daily responsibilities will involve handling all aspects of accounts payable, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, preparing payment runs, and reconciling statements. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial data, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding of expenses.
· Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
· Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
· Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data processing.
· Continuously research and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in accounts payable.
· Compile and generate accounts payable reports as required.
· Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required.
· Knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
· Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
· Authorized to work in the United States.
