Job Posting for Environmental & Safety Coordinator at Montana Construction
MONTANA CONSTRUCTION is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental & Safety Coordinator to join our team. As the Environmental & Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing safety programs to create a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement environmental and safety policies and procedures to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Maintain and update safety records, including incident reports, training documentation, and inspection records.
- Stay current with changes in environmental and safety regulations and communicate updates to management and employees.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Must be willing to drive to and from NJ job site locations.
Responsibilities:
- 5 years of experience in environmental and safety management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30
- Valid Driver's License
