SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BUREAU
HELENA, MT
Analyze current system functionality to modify and maintain existing workflows. Work individually or coordinate with teammates to implement designs, documentation, and perform quality assurance over developed solutions.
Current production solutions include a variety of Java based applications, majority of which are either full MVC Spring Framework and Hibernate ORM, or web services that are used for timed communication with other departments and vendors. This position would be involved in the ongoing workflow implementations into these applications, as well as looking into new types of solutions to fulfill department initiatives that involve the Application Development Unit.
Interactions with task tracking and project tracking systems happens regularly as well as repositories with multiple developers working on the same project. The ability to document existing, refactored, and new implementations is pivotal to this role.
Your focus would be to take on approved change requests to applications, provide level of effort estimates for these changes, and identify faults/propose solutions within existing workflow implementations. Coordination with project management, training, business representation, and other developers will be key to successfully completing objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS – 2 years job-related college or vocational training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Application Development and 1 to 2 years of job-related work experience.
