We specialize in multiple markets from conveyor’s, specialized mining equipment to penstocks.

Material Logistics Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily yard operations including but not limited to direction of labor force, safety requirements, maintenance, check lists, equipment cleaning and training. Supervise material yard storage and sorting.
  • Supervise loading and unloading of rails, containers, and trailers to include inspection, piece marking, heat numbers, etc., Load and unload trucks in a timely manner.
  • Analyze purchase orders daily to estimate shipping, storage, and delivery requirements.
  • Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
  • Acts as the last quality check for outbound product. Check with the QC or production if there are any quality concerns.
  • Receive incoming material and parts. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records, and report shortages. Route items to departments. Supply purchasing and accounting with packing slips as applicable.
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weight, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, orders, or other records.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Broker loads, prepare bill of ladings and other shipping documents and tags for loads.
  • Maintain picture files for each load.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials, steel and supplies. Complete inventory transfers. Work with purchasing agent for proper inventory levels for shipping area items (hardware, cartons, etc.).
  • Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Prepare packages for shipping to clients or vendors. Organize shipping documentation and request pick-ups.
  • Communicate directly with clients as necessary to answer questions, relay shipping updates, and handle complaints calmly and efficiently.
  • Must be willing to take initiative and be accountable for shipping and receiving functions. Assess workload and ask for help as needed to support timely shipment of customer orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Support and backfill for the Material Handler as required.
  • Shift is Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm. This can be flexible depending on load arrivals.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge with, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills required
  • MUST HAVE a valid US drivers license
  • Must be able to read and complete basic math problems
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to read blue prints
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to delegate, detail-oriented and reliable
  • Strong work ethic with proven ability to work with deadlines and commitment including occasional weekends
  • Experience within a distribution and manufacturing setting preferred
  • Ability to constantly move around the facility while tolerating hot/cold conditions

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Procurement: 1 year (Preferred)
