Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
A Service Technician position is key to the success of our service department and customer experience. Mechanics repair and perform all aspects of preventative maintenance on heavy-duty equipment to light duty equipment.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:
Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components
Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Service Technicians and/or Manager
Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, quality documents, forms or business system programs
Maintains close communications with the service department on the status of the job at hand
Proficient and experienced with multiple engines, transmissions, and electronic diagnostic programs
Maintains the work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition and safe work practices
Working knowledge of warranty, extended coverage, and policy programs
Requirements
Education or Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Factory training & certificates - preferred
Background in parts, service and dealership - preferred
