This position provides technical support for all aspects of Science Stockroom Management: Supplies, Material, and Equipment Purchasing, Inventory control with special attention paid to Chemicals, and Budget reporting. This position serves to establish and maintain safe chemical storage on the University and City College campuses, train faculty, staff and students in chemical safety, is the campus hazardous waste coordinator and campus MSDS coordinator. It monitors monthly hazardous waste generated in satellite accumulation areas on campus, removes old unsafe chemicals, and schedules for waste pickup as needed. It also maintains the chemical inventory and conducts chemical safety audits 3 times each year.
