Montauk Yacht Club is seeking an Esthetician to join the team at our 107-room luxury property located within the iconic Hamptons in New York! Spanning 35 acres on Montauk’s Star Island, Montauk Yacht Club offers waterfront views, a private beach, three pools, multiple dining options and over 200 wet slips that can accommodate boats from small day cruisers to 300-foot superyachts. Holding eight decades of East End history as an elite social club and thoughtfully reborn for the modern traveler, guests can expect classic East Coast architecture, well-appointed interiors and detail-driven amenities.
As an Esthetician, you will be responsible for delivering professional skincare treatments, ensuring a serene and luxurious experience for each guest.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Proactively seeks to provide a luxury service, consistently ensuring guest satisfaction
- Performs facial and body services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering as well as fulfilling guest expectations
- Meets the needs of the guest at all times throughout the service
- Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services
- Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis according to CDC guidelines
- Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa service presently offered
- Understands ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests
- Answers guests’ questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner
- Maintains and performs all facial protocols on spa menu
- Must be able to use and maintain facial equipment (such as steamers, magnifying lamps, high frequency, wax pots, derma globes, extractors and hot towel cabinets)
- Suggests additional beneficial treatments offered in the spa; upsell products and services
- Begins and ends all treatments on time
- Works assigned schedule and arrives and departs from shift on time
- Informs Spa Management personnel about product needs
- Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes, when appropriate
- Attends all scheduled meetings & professional training
- Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team
- Assist with cleanliness of all areas of the spa
Qualifications:
- Valid state license in esthetics
- Must possess excellent esthetic skills
- Previous facial and body work experience
- Customer service experience, preferably within a hotel spa
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Availability when facility is open: this could include nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly to move objects
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
In addition to the hourly wage, Estheticians can expect:
- Additional 20% commission on services performed
- 10% retail incentive
- Gratuities/Tips on services
