ASSISTANT DIRECTOR CLINICAL OPERATIONS

The Assistant Director, Clinical Research Operations at Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office will is responsible for and oversees clinical research operations and directs the clinical research staff who are members of Disease/Modality Teams. The Assistant Director will report to the Senior Director, Clinical Research Administration and work closely with the Medical Director of the CCTO (Balazs Halmos, MD) and clinical leadership to develop and implement the Disease/Modality Teams strategy and ensure the safe and effective conduct of clinical trials across the Cancer Center. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director, Quality Assurance, Assistant Director for Clinical Research Informatics and Program Manager to ensure streamlined and compliant patient registration and accrual to clinical trials, quality data collection and timely reporting to all sponsors.

The Assistant Director will oversee study coordinators, clinical trial managers, research nurses, and other areas as assigned. Additionally, this role will provide oversight and training for an increasingly large and complex clinical trial operation and work closely with the Cancer Service Line leadership to ensure continuity of care for clinical research patients to fulfill the clinical research mission of MECC.

Requirements:

Master's Degree preferred

Bachelor's Degree required

Length of Work Experience Required: 10 years

Expertise in developing clinical trial operations across teams
Expertise in clinical trial regulatory compliance and clinical trial billing compliance;
Deep knowledge of NCI CCSG guidance, rules, and data sets
Cancer clinical trials and clinical research operations synergy with cancer clinical operations in ambulatory and inpatient settings
Clinical trial billing workflows to ensure billing compliance
Patient-centered care
Clinical decision support
Training curricula
Clinical Trial Management Systems
Epic EHR, including Epic Research functionality
Clinical research informatics and data analytics
