Safety Manager
Safety Manager will work with the Senior Director of EH&S to create policies and procedures relating to safety and regulatory requirements, update and review policies as required or applicable, and be responsible for compliance with federal state and local rules, regulations and laws. Responsible for ensuring that staff is properly trained, policies meet regulatory requirements, and complaints are investigated.
Conduct or coordinate periodic (at frequencies determined by regulating bodies) hazardous surveillance inspections, job hazard analysis, risk assessments and other site inspections required OSHA, and other regulating bodies.
Review inspection results to determine trends, complete Job Hazard Analyses report on results and plans in appropriate forums at appropriate frequencies. Create safety and EOC guides/manuals and trainings. Hold in-service training to cover regulatory requirements. Track and manage required trainings in compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements:
B.S. degree is required. Master's degree preferred. Prior experience with investigations and training is required; experience in the healthcare field or compliance and expert knowledge in OSHA General Industry and Joint Commission EC, LS and EM standards.
Must be able to convey information both written and verbally effectively.
