Job Summary:
The Warehouse Technician performs a variety of routine activities in support of the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) team. RHRP is the Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, program that provides Individual Medical Readiness (IMR), Dental Readiness, and deployment services to Active Duty and Reserve service members geographically remote from military treatment facilities.
Specific Duties:
- Performs a variety of routine activities in support of the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) team
- Responsible for the shipping and receiving of RHRP project supplies and equipment to government sponsored events and clinics
- Maintains inventory of needed supplies and equipment
- Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources
- Provide logistical support to the RHRP team
- Responsible for coordination of shipping and receiving to event sites including tracking and stocking of supplies as needed
- Maintain all RHRP supply inventories including completion of inventory sheets
- Process claims with shippers on damaged/missing shipments in a timely manner
- Track and analyze missed shipments
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Ability to move containers with wheels up to 120 lbs.
- Knowledge of electronic shipping (e.g., FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Excellent customer service, organization and follow-through skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to excel at details, multi-task, and work with a high sense of urgency
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be self-motivated
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of office equipment (Fax, Printer, Copier, etc.)
Education and/or Experience:
- Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Related shipping and receiving and/or inventory control experience
Highly Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Military medical logistics experience highly desired.
