Director of Information Technology

Title of the position: Director of Informational Technology
Reports to: President of MACTE
Pay: Salary commensurate with education & experience
Anticipated Start Date: October - January

This position will start as a part-time job (at least 20 hours) with the possibility to expand the hours as needed.

The Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) seeks applications for a Director of IT. MACTE, an organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, is the national accreditor for programs training future Montessori teachers. We are committed to recognizing, assuring, and promoting high-quality education for Montessori teachers in training through accreditation. We believe all children should have the opportunity to access quality Montessori education around the world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities involve maintaining, supporting, and implementing information technologies that enhance productivity and impact the overall operation of MACTE:

Manage Armature & Quickbase software

• Conduct meetings with Armature staff

• Create and update Armature instruments as needed

• Set-up and manage pipelines for Quickbase

• Regularly update Quickbase

Maintain Variety of Applications

• Proficient using Google Suite, Zapier, Cognito, Alconost, Formstack

Analyze Current Hardware and Software Systems

• Review, evaluate, and recommend solutions for hardware and software as necessary. Share possible alternatives in terms of cost, time, and resources.

Provide technical assistance to MACTE staff

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Associate’s degree or higher in relevant field

• 2-3 years of relevant experience

• Skilled in asking questions, listening, learning, and synthesizing knowledge

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Experience and comfort working both independently and in a collaborative work environment

• Ability to identify and solve problems along the way

• Experience in nonprofit and/or education (K-12 and/or postsecondary ed) a plus
