KENNEL ATTENDANT
MUST HAVE THOUROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF CLEANING AND DISINFECTING TO PREVENT COMMUNICABLE DISEASES.
MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTION AND WORK INDEPENDENTLY.
1. Thoroughly clean/disinfect all areas of the shelter daily according to policy and procedures or as directed by the Shelter Manager.
2. Feed and care for the animals as directed according to policy and procedures or as directed by the Shelter Manager.
3. Monitor the animals and report any signs of illness/injury to the shelter manager.
4. Wash, dry, and fold laundry.
5. Perform general cleaning of office, laundry room, and bathroom as directed.
6. Empty all trash cans.
7. Patrol shelter grounds and remove any trash and stool materials.
8. Clean, sanitize, and put away crates after transport.
9. Check the mail on a daily basis.
10. Unpack, label, and stock shelter supplies and donations.
11. Complete cremations for customers or for Dr. Probst’s office.
12. Assist in vaccinating and administering medications to animals.
13. Notify the Shelter Manager of any supplies needed.
14. Clean, maintain, and re-fuel vehicles
15. Assist fellow staff members with tasks when requested/needed.
16. Any other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Shelter Manager.'
