Reporting to the Vice President of Global Service Delivery, the Field Operations Manager (FOM's) is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Mood Media's service and installation business. The FOM directly manages Field Technicians and oversees subcontractors to ensure optimal use of resources within a given territory.
The FOM's responsibilities shall include managing the Field Technicians on a daily basis using phone, e-mail, computer program and face-to-face visits; processing payroll electronically, monitoring overtime and assisting in conducting safety training and tech training meetings. The FOM manages daily time efficiencies, on-site job project management, as well as Technician Resource usage (fuel, tools, etc.) Maintaining good relationships with subcontractors; training both in house techs and subcontractors in Mood products and services; and maintaining quality control processes for all resources are keys to the FOM's success.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for operational excellence of field service delivery within a given territory.
- Drive profitability through optimization of internal and subcontractor resources.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and ASG to ensure that sales forecasts are planned for and delivered with regard to project schedules and resource scheduling in their given territory.
- Managing all aspects of the field technicians' performance including training, productivity, efficiency, efficacy, quality control, safety, coaching, discipline, payroll, and timekeeping.
- Hire and develop a best-in-class workforce.
- Managing all aspects of subcontractors' performance including recruiting, screening and vetting subcontractors, negotiating rates and ensuring quality of performance.
- Oversee and review technician inventory levels and maintenance in kiosks and on vehicles.
- Ensuring compliance with local licensing, permitting or other agreements as required in the assigned markets.
- Preparing and providing timesheets, reports, analyses and data as needed using Excel, Oracle and other tools as needed. Reviewing such data and looking for improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Assoc. degree from 2-year college or technical school or equivalent experience.
- Equivalent experience in lieu of degree; 5 years of low voltage audio-visual installation and service experience.
- With Degree, 3 years of experience required.
Required Travel:
If the job requires overnight travel, what percentage of time is spent away from home base? 15 to 30% depending on the market/region's needs.
