Moog is looking for a Site Quality Manager to lead teams within the site’s Quality and Business Excellence Organization. Your teams include Audits, Receiving Inspection, Metrology, and a Technical Training Specialist. You will maintain AS9100 certification and be responsible for completion of business system audits, ensuring the success of the Operator Self Verification (OSV) Audit Program, and the overall Quality Management System; these efforts should provide improvements to support the business. Reporting to the Site Director of Quality and Business Excellence, this is a position of both technical and managerial leadership. You will have an onsite work schedule at our Torrance, CA aerospace facility.

As a Site Quality Manager, you will:
- Manage the execution and improvement of Quality processes, in collaboration with individual process owners and teams within Torrance. This collaboration is also expected to expand to reach across other Moog sites.
- Guide and coordinate RCCA processes in dealing with product and process quality issues. The goal is to eliminate the recurrence of issues by applying robust solutions.
- Implement company policy and assure compliance of Moog procedures to customer, government and regulatory requirements.
- Assure cost effective plans for audits, receiving inspection, calibration and training that are consistent with appropriate risk levels.
- Be the AS9100 Management Representative for our Torrance site.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality to eliminate recurring supplier defects, and implement plans to protect the customer from non-detection escapes through Receiving Inspection.
- Coordinate and provide calibration services throughout the site using both internal and outside procured resources.
- Be the site Point of Contact in leading the Moog FOD Prevention Program.
be considered for the Quality Manager role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or other technical discipline is desirable)
- 10 years of progressive experience in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing
- Experience in the aerospace industry; experience with AS9100 standards
- Leadership experience (experience leading large groups is desirable)
- Experience leading and facilitating the coordination of activities among variable sized groups of different functional backgrounds
- Experience with problem solving, Root Cause Corrective Action, technical data analysis, and project management
- Ability to communicate concisely and clearly, both verbally and in writing, and be able to substantiate a position to make recommendations.
- Knowledgeable in machine shop and assembly/test practices, inspection processes, tool and gage application.

$140,000 - $170,000, annually. Moog considers several factors when extending an offer, including work experience, education, and skills.
