What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time After School Site Supervisor position at Moore 4 You CDC?
Site Safety & Compliance
- Ensure that parents and/or visitors are not entering the program area; children are not wandering in the hallways and/or playing in the bathroom; no child is left alone or unsupervised at any time
- Perform headcount and ensure brightwheel attendance is accurate
- Ensure health check is performed and entered into brightwheel
- Ensure enrollees transition safely between program areas
- Ensure check-out is compliant (ensure child is released to authorized person, child is checked out in brightwheel, all parties must have an app, a code, or an ID to checkout child)
- Ensure all exits closest to program areas are clear and accessible
- Access digital binder for compliance purposes
- Perform monthly fire drills, complete form, and maintain record for compliance purposes
- Perform bi-annual shelter-ins, complete form, and maintain record for compliance purposes
- Collect and submit compliance forms to the Assistant Director
- Report weekly any pertinent information regarding site, staff, enrollment, or programming to M4U
- Ensure that first aid kits, emergency bin, walkie talkies, are stocked, checked, unexpired, and/or functional
- Reconciling brightwheel - check-out
Staff Supervision
- Report lateness, absences, and early departures
- Conduct staff meetings when necessary (team huddles)
- Ensure instructors are with their group and ratios are compliant
- Ensure program schedules are adhered to and enrollees are engaged in appropriate activities
- Support staff with coverage, guidance, and information necessary to complete their job duties
- Ensure all supplies, first aid kit, and all required equipment (ex. walkies) are in the program area and utilized
- Ensure staff is adhering to code of conduct and report any violations
Behavior Specialist
- Demonstrate efforts for behavior management, including but not limited to redirecting attention, focus, and behavior, manage volume control, supervising enrollees presenting with behavioral challenges, and intervening when necessary to de-escalate situations
- Implement behavioral management incentives to encourage and support positive behavior
- Maintain order and good behavior among enrollees
- Receive incident reports, conduct investigations, report investigation findings
- Communicate with parents whenever necessary to address behavioral concerns, in addition to pickup times.
Program Development
- Assist with community engagement and outreach to promote M4U childcare and youth programmings and strengthen the relationship M4U has within community.
- Assist with enrollment efforts in the community center and other sites within the community
- Assist with program curriculum development
- Provide weekly recaps to and on behalf of M4U
