What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Translational Immunology position at Moore & Associates?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced translational scientist to join our Immunology team to support the expanding portfolio of small molecules targeting autoimmune diseases. This role will support multiple programs and will be responsible for biomarkers identification, and precision medicine and translational activities to support indication selection and patient enrichment strategies. This position will work closely with the senior leadership team to build the infrastructure to support proposed translational strategies, and with multiple program team leaders in designing translational research plans best suited for the specific project. The ideal candidate will have a broad scientific background with demonstrated relevant experience of 10 years in translational research to support immunology and autoimmune disease programs in pharmaceutical industry.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in defining translational strategies in close collaboration with senior leadership
- Closely interface with program team leaders to align with program strategy, timelines, company goals and deliverables
- Work closely with the discovery research team to implement translational assays
- Build infrastructure to support translational strategy, including establishing relationships with foundations, CROs and KOLs
- Development and/or use of new technology and assays to support translational efforts
- Prior experience in supporting exploratory translational work for autoimmune indications
Education and Experience requirements:
- Ph.D. in immunology, cell biology, and/or molecular biology with 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in designing and executing clinical translational strategies for autoimmune/inflammatory diseases, preferably for small molecules
- Expert knowledge of adaptive and innate immunity, including the roles of various immune cells and cytokines in immune regulation and understanding of biological principles underpinning immunological diseases
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
