.This position serves as a primary point of contact and liaison with Product Development, logistics, and production departments to ensure that the schedule meets customer needs while ensuring efficient operations within the production team. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and a minimum of 5 years of supply chain management related experience. APICS certification is highly desired.
The successful applicant will manage inventory of raw materials, supplies and finished goods. This position will play a central role in establishing a robust inventory management system. The manager will also oversee inventory control staff to ensure that all inventory items are properly identified, production supply stocks are maintained at all San Diego inventory locations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with R&D, Project Management, logistics and manufacturing departments
- Establishes and maintains a master production schedules that allocate available resources to best serve client and internal company needs
- Integrates new licensee and R&D production requests into the master schedule
- Maintains master distribution schedule for San Diego facilities; revises as needed and promptly alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes and delays
- Anticipates demand of critical raw materials and communicates with Purchasing if additional orders need to be placed or delivery dates changed
- Establish and maintain KPI and reporting systems to provide transparency and enable a clear understanding for all involved teams to understand what is required from their teams to fulfill orders and maintain on-time delivery
REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidate must have 5 years’ experience with managing production planning and scheduling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, MS Project (Resource Planning/Management /EVM) and familiarity with ERP system software
- Leads by example and willing to work side-by-side with reports while using positive strategies to establish a professional environment of trust, respect, and collaboration.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
