What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optician position at Moore Eye Clinic?

Moore Eye Clinic is searching for a skilled and enthusiastic optician to join our team and play an integral part in what we're all about—helping people see! You will work with other motivated individuals who take their work seriously. The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner who's eager to help our clinic grow.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with patients to help meet all their eyewear needs
  • Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear
  • Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards as well as customer requirements and requests
  • Use your expertise to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to patients
  • Work with our team to make sure all customers receive exceptional service
  • Help patients choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle
  • Inventory Management
  • Oversee frame purchasing and meet with frame representatives
  • Quarterly Board Management
  • Review sales for the quarter relative to board space allocation
  • Oversee/monitor mix of frames in inventory
  • Optical Staff Training/Supervision

Some benefits of working at Moore Eye Clinic for Full-Time Employees:

  • $17-19/hour based on experience
  • 10 days paid vacation after 6 months of employment
  • 5 days paid sick time after 6 months of employment
  • Eligible to participate in Simple IRA after 12 months of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
