Service Champions is looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Specialist will support the Field Operations by carrying out the responsibilities of the Warehouse Department. The ideal candidate will have exceptional multi-tasking skills and a minimum of two years’ experience in a Warehouse position. Successful candidates are organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
This is a non-exempt hourly position in a warehouse setting reporting to the Warehouse Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload trucks, inspect products for defects and damages
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate shipping and receiving of packages including reconciling packing slips and invoices
- Responsible for inventory control and quality control
- Operate forklift and various motor vehicles
- Stage equipment for installs
- Deliver parts and equipment to jobsites
- Order parts and equipment from various Service Champions vendors
- Create and maintain purchase orders, ensure completed paperwork is submitted to accounts payable and entered into databases accurately
- Partner with Accounting to resolve issues with purchase orders
- Able to work with internal departments to resolve customer concerns
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean staging area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Clean and maintain warehouse and facilities, including bathrooms, breakroom and other areas as assigned
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work professionally with internal and external customers and vendors
- Ability to drive several types of company vehicles and satisfy the requirements of our insurance carrier
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
- PC proficiency with an emphasis in Microsoft Office desired
- Knowledge of HVAC parts and equipment desirable
- Forklift certification desired
- Available to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
- Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years prior warehouse experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and type
- Speaking and hearing ability; heavy communication through talking and listening to employees and clients directly as well as through telephone conversations to resolve issues
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
