Morcon is an essential business providing napkin, towel, tissue and specialty products for the Away-From-Home market. We are located in Eagle Bridge, NY with a sister facility in Great Falls, SC allowing us to provide for the food service, industrial, sanitation, hospitality, healthcare and commercial markets. We are looking for a dedicated employee to work third shift as a material handler.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for the preparation and staging of raw material and finished goods. This position will rotate to all operational areas within the process as business needs dictate. Material Handlers are responsible raw material and finished good preparation, in a way that supports the Shift Team. The ability to multi-task and manage a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and productivity are key competencies, is required. Morcon is a team-oriented environment where respect, responsibility, creativity, and reliability is mandatory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Adhere to all directions from Shift Leadership
· Adhere to all Morcon safety policies and procedures
· Adhere to all break schedules
· Secure work areas to maintain a safe working environment
· Prepare and stage raw materials in an organized, clean, and safe manner including, but not limited to paper, boxes, sleeves, bags, tape, shrink wrap and pallets
· Communicate with Material Handler 2 to obtain materials as needed
· Prepare paper for and execute roll changes in a timely manner
· Transport finished goods to pallets
· Perform proper stacking method according to product type
· Wrap stacked pallets and transport them to designated areas using a pallet jack
· Serve as a spotter for Material Handler 2
· Maintain clean working areas by removing parent roll cores, sweeping, emptying trash cans and dumping waste into specified balers
· Maintain tape machines, change tape as needed
· Bale plastic and remove glue, as requested by the Shift Leader
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Must be at least 18 years old
§ Must be safety focused

§ Must have strong attention to detail
§ Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team
§ Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
§ Availability to work any shift
§ Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment
§ Mechanical aptitude is preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
§ Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
§ Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, twist and bend regularly to complete job tasks
§ Use of hands and arms in packing the finished product
§ Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 3 hours
§ Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as assigned, is required.
