Full-Time (Exempt Professional/Technical Appointment, 260 days), 1.0FTE

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Health Occupations Student Success Advisor develops and implements college recruitment and advisement for students with an emphasis in the health occupations cluster. This position is responsible for marketing materials for the Health Occupations programs, student orientation, and community relations. This position is responsible for processes and programs related to onboarding, advisement, and retention related services of MCC students within the health programs. The position involves occasional travel (day, evening, overnight and weekends) throughout the college service area and the state to carry out the duties of the position. The individual shall perform all duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the valuing of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college's commitment to the Guiding Principles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution. An associate's degree and equivalent experience may substitute.
  • Experience in areas of student services or student support.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
    Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and effectively execute multiple initiatives, programs, and events.
  • Strong interpersonal communication including the ability to establish and develop productive and collegial relationships, collaborate, and communicate with college constituencies (e.g., staff, faculty, students, managers, etc.) and to build effective teams as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively and positively with a diverse student population.
  • Proficient in MS Office, along with general computer literacy.
  • Occasional travel (day, evening, overnight and weekends) throughout the college service area and the state to carry out duties of the position.
  • Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, committee service, and registration periods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience working with students enrolled in health occupation programs.
  • Banner software experience.
  • Knowledge of EAB Navigate.

Anticipated Start Date: June 2022

Salary and Benefits:

$39,800 to $46,200, based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, vision, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

About Morgan Community College (MCC):

MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. MCC provides high quality lower division transferable courses and occupational education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods to an 11,500 square mile service area in eastern Colorado.

The College serves this vast, rural, agricultural area from its main campus in Fort Morgan and through four regional locations in Bennett, Limon, Burlington and Wray. These locations are 75 to 150 miles from the campus in Fort Morgan.
