PRODUCTION SCHEDULER
Location: Morgantown PA
How You Will Make an Impact?
The Production Scheduler will be responsible for performing the production scheduling for one or more facilities.
The Nuts and Bolts
- Instrumental in collaborating with all levels of the company to plan, set, and support a Sales and Operations Production plan
- Perform the production scheduling to maximize on-time delivery, productivity, inventory turns, gross profit, etc; utilize level loading practices for production lines by using plant loading tools and lean methodology
- Establish commitment (promise ship) dates for scheduled sales orders
- Works directly with manufacturing to support customer on-time delivery
- Will work with the sales department and Corporate Master scheduling to set long term production schedules and commitments for high volume orders
- Communicates with respective departments on any schedule changes that will adversely affect overall schedule execution or customer expectation
- Works directly with the Materials management team and fellow associates to ensure that raw materials and customer supplied items are available to support the production schedule
Preferred Credentials
- BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of production scheduling in a make-to-order environment with 5 years scheduling experience.
- The ability to adapt in a very fluid and cyclical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills.
- Moderate user of Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel.
- Moderate travel up to 25% may be required.
- APICS CPIM certification a plus.
