What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Safety and Security Officer position at Morningside University?
Morningside University is now accepting applications for the position of Campus Safety and Security Officer. This is a full time position that provides for the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff and property. Working hours for this position are: 11 pm – 7 am, Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safety to all students, faculty/staff and visitors of the campus
- Patrol the parking lots, exterior of all campus buildings and interior of all non-residence hall buildings
- Provide security at athletic events and at special functions as needed
- Assist local law enforcement and other emergency response as requested
- Work with Residence Life on reported incidents in the residence halls
Qualifications:
- Initiative and strong time management skills
- Ability to work well, with students, faculty, staff, and the public
- One year of security experience preferred
