Job Summary
The Manager of Training & Development is responsible for the development and implementation of training strategies, plans and processes in support of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa’s organizational goals.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor all MCRS training programs.
- Partner with Executive Leaders to identify training and development needs in order to deliver programs that support organizational goals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and deliver effective learning solutions for team members.
- Evaluate training goals, guidelines and effectiveness of established training programs.
- Ensure training programs are consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Provide resources and educational tools for ongoing Manager development.
- Ensure ongoing training and development of regulatory compliance training and update as necessary.
- Develop and update new hire orientation training and processes.
- Oversee the training schedule and track the development of all team members.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.

- Experience analyzing company needs, designing training programs, and leading projects/programs.
- Excellent active listening skills.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
- Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Experience developing or overseeing the development of eLearning.
- Effective interpersonal skills, role model, highly motivated, and adaptive to change.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in HR, Liberal Arts or related field and 3 years training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective teaching and training skills along with current knowledge of training curriculum.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common legal and technical reports, basic financial reports and legal documents. Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral format to all levels of team members.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply legal, regulatory and procedural doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The office environment has low to moderate noise levels, has good lighting and is a non-smoking environment. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and has dim to moderate lighting, is often crowded and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
