Purpose:

The Store Operations Specialist will provide support to the Store Operation Associates by leading projects during scheduled shifts in the backroom and on the showroom salesfloor. The Specialist will lead daily team huddles with the Store Operation Associates to set expectations and report out additional company updates. The Store Operations Specialist will lead by example, representing our company Mission, Vision, and Values at all times, being a role model for the Store Operation Associates within their assigned store location.

General Description of Duties:

Delegate and assist team with floor moves, partnering with the visual team to create vacant areas for new product placement.
Confirm all outgoing product has been pulled and wrapped using IST list.
Print IST list and review with Ops team to ensure they are aware of delivery dates for incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Perform order audits to ensure orders are assigned to the correct location.
Perform weekly floor walks with General Manager and Visual to discuss floor standards and opportunities. During walkthroughs, create a supply list and discuss any area of concern that needs to be addressed with the Ops team.
Collaborate with Visual on printing and tagging standards throughout the showroom.
Submit Bert requests for needed tagging supplies. Own auditing requests the Ops team submits.
Supervise and assist Ops team with projects, such as painting and patching, tightening of furniture, taping down rugs, etc.
Submit maintenance requests and communicate with maintenance team, conducting check-ins until completion of request.
Perform weekly audits of the Store Repair Log ensuring the Ops team is maintaining accuracy of completed repairs.
Assist in inventory prep, execution, and follow up for all assigned locations.
Daily cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, and back office.
Removal of trash and cleaning of windows throughout the store and front entrance of building.
Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

Safety conscious approach to all activities.
Driver’s license in good standing, with the ability to travel to multiple store locations when needed.
Ability to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture and operating powered equipment, hand trucks, carts, and other devices.
Work as part of a cooperative team where the members may change frequently.
Ability to assemble furniture and other merchandise.
Ability to quickly move your hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects when handling, installing, positioning, or moving furniture.
Experience working with/around powered equipment, warehouse machinery, and hand/power tool preferred.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Great communication skills, written and verbal.
High energy with a positive attitude driven to succeed.
Resourceful and self-directed individual.
Available to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, bend, twist, grip pull and lift 50 pounds. The employee will be required to unpack product from shipping boxes, assemble products and move to appropriate showroom location for display.
