- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Works as a Clinical Engineering Technician while performing administrative functions for the department. Implements the Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers Medical Equipment Management Plan. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and exemplary customer service. Maintains the equipment inventory and maintenance management system. Responsible for technician scheduling and time keeping, parts procurement, and reporting, amongst other duties.
- QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree or equivalent military training in an electronics-related discipline. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Technical certification such as A , CBET, CRES, CLES, or CCE preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment, with at least 3 years’ experience leading a clinical engineering environment
- Knowledge of state, federal, and accrediting agency regulatory requirements
Ability to manage both day-to-day operations and long-term, complex projects.
Possesses strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Valid IL driver's license and willingness to travel to affiliated healthcare centers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to write and update policies and procedures.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and an excellent attitude toward customer service.
Must be able to follow direction, both verbal and written, and work cooperatively with other staff members.
