Job Responsibilities
CNC Service Technical Phone Support will be responsible for providing telephone support to distributor service departments and customers. This person will advise and coach field service technicians and other supporting services and departments. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in recommending Field Service Technicians based on competencies and requirements in order to effectively respond to machine service requests from customers
- Assisting the Parts Departments with warranty questions and issues
- Utilizing machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
- Ensuring customer commitments are executed and planned to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
Job Qualifications/Competencies
- 8-10 years’ experience in servicing mechanical/electrical CNC machine tools; Okuma OSP control experience is beneficial
- Complete working mechanical knowledge of CNC machine mills and lathes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other business programs as necessary
- Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills, along with demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong customer service background to assist with all customer requests
- Solid logistics background to effectively dispatch service technicians to job
- Extensive electrical knowledge and troubleshooting including high voltage
- Overall positive attitude that reflects The Morris South Company values
