We deliver results for our clients by navigating them through Vermont’s legislative process and executive branch, and we provide reputation management and strategic communications for businesses, associations and nonprofits.

Job Description: We are seeking a part-time lobbyist to join our team from January 2024 - May 2024. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in following legislation and policy issues that impact our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor bills, regulations and policy proposals that directly or indirectly impact clients
  • Be onsite at State House two days per week to cover committee meetings, plus opportunities to work from home
  • Attend committee meetings and report out on developments
  • Cover press briefings for governor, legislators and other officials and groups
  • Conduct business development research and reach out to new leads

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, law or related field
  • Prior experience in government relations, campaigns, communications and/or sales is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of government processes and political dynamics
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Effective networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Available for part-time work with flexible hours
