Morrison Express is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our Sales Support team. This position can be located in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Boston, MA, Columbus, OH, Miami, FL, Atlanta, GA, El Paso, TX, or Dallas, TX.
Schedule: This is a full time, Exempt position working a hybrid schedule in office 3 days per week and from home 2 days per week after training.
Chicago Office Location: 1200 Kirk St, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
As the Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for building relationships with our internal sales and operations team to understand market trends and seasonality trends to provide arcuate air and ocean pricing requests and spot quotes.
To perform in this role you will need to understand how freight moves, standard industry charges, and incoterms. You will need to have effective time management skills, high attention to details,
and strong reasoning skills.

What You Will Be Doing in Your Day to Day:
- Complete transactional air and ocean pricing requests and spot quotes.
- Review and understand client shipment requirements when quoting.
- Analyze and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing, or carriers to meet necessary requirements, specifications, and costs.
- Responsible for building relationships with internal sales and operations teams to gain understanding of market trends and seasonality to provide accurate quotes.
- Follow up with sales and record rate requests results.
- Work on special projects and reports as needed.
- For additional training and if time permits, team member can work on RFQs. They will act as the single point of contact and communication, to the sales team, monitoring the flow of client tender submissions in and out of the Tender Management process. They will provide daily management of the bid process and create internal Excel templates. This training will provide a career path for team members.
What We Look for in Our Teammates:
- 2 years of experience in pricing or operations within the freight forwarding industry.
- Understand how freight moves, standard industry charges, and incoterms.
- High attention to detail and have effective time management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - analyze large amount of data using formulas.
- Manage and prioritize workload, ability to manage a mix of issues and requests.
- Strong reasoning skills and ability to offer both written and verbal advice.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate colleagues in other time zones and to meet client deadlines.
