Position Title: DIRECTOR, DINING SERVICES (T-HolCros) Nogales, AZ

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Other Forms of Compensation: $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Job Summary

The Director of Dining Services for this very small acute care hospital in Nogales, Arizona, is responsible for overseeing day to day foodservice operations. Holy Cross is a regional critical access hospital with 31 long term care beds, 25 acute care beds, and 10 bassinets. You will manage and lead a small team of employees, and also be responsible for managing client relationships, profitability of the account, and talent development. This client has in-room patient dining (tray service), plus a visitor/staff cafe. Current or previous healthcare operations management experience (acute care hospital, rehabilitation centers, mental health facilities, or senior living) is critical to managing this role. Culinary skills would be a plus. This is a great opportunity for a non-healthcare manager (restaurant manager, retail manager) who is looking to break into the high-growth healthcare market with the industry leader in dining services. Bi-lingual Spanish/English skills are critical!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client
  • Ensures that the food offered to the patients and employees of the operation is of superior quality
  • Guarantees management team and associate training and development
  • Drives profitability of the account
  • Assist in kitchen when needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • BS Hospitality degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish skills are essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices preferred
