Innovation for Automation is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located at 701 36th St. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49548. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, averaging 45 hours weekly. Competitive hourly wage ($17-$24) based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Email, and Internet-based applications
- Minimum of 1 year of Experience in Accounts Payable Related Work
- Solid time management and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy in financial transactions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, deep understanding of accounts payable processes, and general accounting principles
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain vendor relationships
- Ensure timely and accurate bill payments following departmental procedures
- Verify purchase orders, prices, and terms against invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements promptly, resolving discrepancies
- Review invoices for documentation and approval before payment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient invoice processing
- Reconcile credit cards and expense reports for financial accuracy
- Organize and file all associated paperwork
- Manage accounts payable using advanced accounting software
- Any other duties as assigned
