Our organization is growing and we are looking for a Financial Controller based out of our Harrisburg NC location - Are you ready to learn more and possibly join the Morrison Millwork team?
Morrison Millwork’s Controller is responsible for helping manage a broad range of accounting, financial and budgetary functions for the company. The Controller will work with senior leadership to determine company and departmental budgets with a focus on accurate planning for current and future expenses. The Controller will review impending transactions and prepare all financial paperwork to ensure the company maintains good financial health and can grow at the expected pace while communicating any financial concerns with expediency.
Essential Roles:
- Developing Financial Strategies: financial forecasting with a focus on company mission and goals
- Maintaining Financial Accuracy: developing accurate reports for leadership and departments
- Communicating Accounting Needs: build relationships with partner accountants and auditors. Sharing company financial details clearly with leadership.
- Servicing Customers: respond with urgency and with courteousness and integrity
Accountabilities:
- Providing financial information and forecasting the repercussions for business performance and funding needs
- Ensure financial rules of the company are followed
- Prepare financial reports summarizing and estimating the organization’s financial position such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings and income
- Improve the financial controls within the organization through process creation and implementation
- Assist managers with the creation and management of the organization’s monthly budgets
- Manage AP/AR coordinator
- Manage Accounts Receivable process and as needed assist with Accounts Receivable tasks including posting customer payments, managing outstanding receivables through collections, reporting receivables status
- Manage Accounts Payable process and as needed assist with Accounts Payable tasks including processing payments and other daily financial transactions, preparing bills, and making bank deposits
- Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations
- Performing credit evaluations through the credit application process
Behaviors:

- Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.
Other Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Experience in bookkeeping, management, or relevant field.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
