SUMMARY
This professional is responsible for the day-to-day operations and coordination of PACE services that are delivered to participants. This includes-participation with the Interdisciplinary Team and oversight of the programs operations and systems. The Center Manager reports to the Executive Director.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Center Management:
- Coordinates operations of activities, nutrition, personal care, clinical services, rehabilitation and other services of the center within program standards and regulations.
- Ensures participant s are oriented to the program and have opportunities to express their opinions about the care and services they receive.
- Develops and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensures adequacy of equipment and supplies. Oversees equipment maintenance, scheduling, replacement, and repair.
- Conducts daily checks of equipment, water, power sources, oxygen supplies, etc.
- Ensures that infection control, fire safety, and related safety procedures are followed.
- Maintains center's contracts for services
- Ensures durable medical equipment is maintained in a safe and usable condition.
- Conducts fire drill monthly; annual mock disaster drills, and emergency care procedures.
Interdisciplinary Group (IDT):
- Leads and manages the morning meetings for development and implementation of care plans.
- Maintains documentation of team meetings including agendas, attendance, and that all discussion points are appropriately documented in the participant’s chart and care plan.
- Participates in routine meetings with regulatory agencies
- Participates in the continued development of the team to improve the team decision making process
- Works with Quality Department to evaluate and improve performance towards Quality Work Plan
- Assists with routine auditing for continuity and regulatory compliance.
Staff Management:
- Provides direct personnel management for Administrative Assistant staff and Designated Aides.
- Provides general management of the Center and works in collaboration with the Department Heads and Managers for each department.
- Ensures staffing is maintained at the appropriate levels to provide safe and effective care.
- Assists with PACE orientation and trainings throughout the year to ensure all team members meet regulatory requirements for education and skills.
- Meets regularly with direct reports to review goals, trends, and performance measures to facilitate change as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The supervisory responsibilities for this position include direct supervision Administrative Assistant and Designated Aides. Additional supervisory responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to accommodate the growth and development of the PACE Center.
QUALIFICATIONS
(EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor's Degree in health administration field or combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of management experience in a community-based program caring for older adults
- One year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is required.
- Experience in a PACE program highly desirable.
- Able to plan, direct, and organize the work of others.
- Able to interpret State and Federal requirements as they apply to the program.
- Skilled in building strong working relationships and in team development.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to off-site locations.
