What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Mortenson?
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for operating trucks as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
Team members should cooperate with others in a team environment, accept direction from supervisors, follow work rules and procedures, have punctual and consistent attendance, and accept constructive feedback.
Performance should meet or exceed the established standards, goals, and accountabilities of the position. All team members are responsible for supporting an inclusive work environment along with affirmative action and employment related goals and requirements.
Team members should align with and contribute to the Mortenson values and ethical standards as stated in the Mortenson Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and understand and abide by the procedures and practices outlined in the Mortenson Operations Manual.
KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
A. Operate the following trucks based on the requirements of the project :
1. Water Truck
2. Dump Truck
3. Haul Truck
4. Tractor Trailer / Lowboy
B. Follow prescribed safety regulations
C. Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
D. Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
E. Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
F. Follow work plans and pre-task cards
G. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels H. All other duties as assigned

D. Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment
